The Aachen Center for Additive Manufacturing (ACAM) is honored to announce its newest member: ToffeeX. This collaboration brings together ACAM’s community of Additive Manufacturing (AM) specialists and ToffeeX’s physics-driven generative-design expertise to foster real-world advancements in additive manufacturing.
Pioneering Engineering with Generative Design
ToffeeX’s generative-design suite helps engineers rapidly iterate on optimized thermal devices such as heat sinks, cold plates and manifolds by embedding manufacturing constraints from the outset. That means designs aren’t just high-performance; they’re ready for cost-effective production using additive methods. “Joining ACAM offers us an opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in additive manufacturing, ensuring our engineering solutions are aligned with the latest advancements in AM technologies” says Dr. Thomas Rees, Innovation and Technical Strategy Lead at ToffeeX.
Laser-Focused on Industry-Relevant AM Technologies
Built for versatility, ToffeeX’s software supports a wide range of manufacturing processes, with particular emphasis on Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) and Binder Jetting, offering engineers flexible, production-ready solutions across disciplines. These AM processes unlock the full potential of ToffeeX generative designs enabling the print of complex shapes which otherwise would not be possible with traditional manufacturing processes. This approach complements ACAM’s goal of connecting design innovation with practical industrial application.
