The highly rewarding complexities of additive manufacturing processes impact all steps of its value chain. Unique requirements need to be met in material and machine production, within physical and digital aspects of actual part production as well as in quality assurance and distribution.

ACAM offers experience and support along the entire value chain. A holistic approach to be summarized in NAVIGATING AM COMPLEXITY.

Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) is an essential step to leverage the exhaustive potentials of AM but also to ship around its restrictions. DfAM may be used to ensure stable manufacturing conditions, to increase the part’s value by enhancing its functionality or to incorporate multiple parts within a single part. Whether it is necessary to conduct minor design changes or a complete (re-)design – Our design experts will be able to support you.

  • Ensuring stable manufacturing conditions
  • Support structures
  • Exhaustive re-design
  • Topology optimization
  • Fluid-driven design (CFD)
  • Lattice structures

We’ll be happy to customize our design capabilities as a stand-alone service to your needs or to incorporate them in a larger project, combined with our other services.

Together with our research partners, we provide access to state-of-the-art and upcoming polymer AM technologies. Two of our Polymer Labs are located at Campus-Boulevard 30 in direct neighborhood to our offices. Here, we focus on competences in Material Extrusion, Powder Bed Fusion, and Jetting technologies.
