In our Design & Product Applications Working Group, we focus on innovative design methods in the context of additive manufacturing. We explore advanced approaches such as generative design, design automation, and algorithm-based or data-driven design. A particular emphasis is placed on the integration of AI technologies, including generative AI, to enable the identification and optimization of product designs tailored for additive manufacturing. By doing so, we aim to digitalize and automate product development processes and accelerate the path from concept to manufacturing-ready solutions.
