210 people from 14 different countries participated to the discover3dprinting.
Industrial 3D printing is breaking through in many sectors and applications, but firms often don’t know enough about the specialized uses, unit quantities, and areas in which these new methods really pay off.
The discover3dprinting was designed for everyone who is considering to include the additive manufacturing into the production process, but does struggle to find access to the technology. The seminar provided a comprehensive insight into this technology and at the same time discusses practical questions, such as: What does an equipment for additive manufacturing cost? How can this technology be integrated into existing production processes? What should I consider in terms of work safety?
In addition, the participants learned what and where the obstacles by its implementation are as well as what applications are not rentable for industrial 3D printing. Furthermore, the attendees also developed an understanding of where additive technologies can complement conventional processes, e.g. in tool and mould making or how the process chains can work with pre-machining and post-processing.
The discover3dprinting was held at the formnext in all fair days and the participants were able to to deepen specific questions with the experts at ACAM, as well as to discuss further topics with the corresponding exhibitors at fair tour.
