17. June 2019

Aachen, June 14th, 2019 – KEX Knowledge Exchange AG and ACAM Aachen Center for Additive Manufacturing present on their joint booth 2-231 at Rapid.Tech + Fabcon 3.D, taking place in Erfurt (Germany) from June 25th – June 27th. The technology experts from Aachen look forward to demonstrating the newly developed knowledge area »Additive Manufacturing« within the KEX.net platform.

The knowledge area »Additive Manufacturing«, the first key aspect of KEX.net, provides the user the clustered expert knowledge and consulting competency of KEX AG in the field of additive manufacturing. Besides daily news from the various fields of 3D-printing, the platform offers a comprehensive information pool, including technologies and applications as well as overviews of current events and patents in the field of additive manufacturing. The information is collected by the independent experts of KEX AG and ACAM and rated concerning their technologic and economic potential. Thus, the user gets efficient monitoring of current trends regarding applications, machines, and materials.

Besides others, the information is presented in the so-called technology landscape. This landscape refers to the ASTM-categories and shows the full spectrum of materials and machines used in 3D printing. Below the ASTM main categories, detailed profiles show on the one hand side descriptions of particularly used technologies and machines; on the other hand, realized and proven applications are presented. The profiles incorporate international news resources as well as the knowledge and experience of KEX AG and ACAM, gathered in numerous projects with well-known industry partners. KEX AG combines research, market, and application knowledge in one platform. Another benefit for the user are the daily news from numerous international industry portals, e.g., 3Dprint.com, TCT, or Fabbaloo. For the material and machine profiles, KEX resorts to the database of US-company Senvol.

Patrick Wienert, the responsible partner at KEX AG, describes the goals of the platform: »With the knowledge area »Additive Manufacturing« within the KEX.net our partners get highly-actual technology and market-know-how, clearly arranged and audience-oriented conditioned. With our expertise, we support our partners with their strategic alignment in the field of additive manufacturing.«

Enrolled members of the ACAM get the access to the knowledge area »Additive Manufacturing« within their membership package. All interested fair visitors are invited, to get to know the new knowledge platform at the ACAM booth 2-231 at the Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D.

Our technology experts look forward to introducing KEX.net at the fair, at 11 AM and 3:30 PM. Reserve your seat for one of the presentations here.
